How to Perform

  1. Lie face down with the knees just off the end of the pad.
  2. Set the roller just above the heels.
  3. Hold the handles and keep the hips down on the bench.
  4. Curl the heels towards the glutes.
  5. Squeeze at the top for a moment.
  6. Lower under control to a full stretch.

Coaching Cues

  • Keep the hips pressed into the bench.
  • Point the toes to bias the hamstrings.
  • Control the lowering phase.

Common Mistakes

  • Lifting the hips to gain range.
  • Using so much load that the range shortens.
  • Dropping the weight back down.

Add load or perform single-leg curls.

Reduce load and use a partial range.
