Overview

How to Perform

  1. Warm up with 5 minutes of brisk walking.
  2. Run at a pace where you can speak in full sentences.
  3. If breathing forces short phrases, slow down — walking breaks are fine.
  4. Hold that effort for 30 to 60 minutes, then walk to finish.

Coaching Cues

  • Conversational is the test — ego is the enemy of zone 2.
  • Nose breathing is a useful governor.
  • Frequency beats heroics: several easy runs outwork one hard one.
