How to Perform

  1. Stand facing the anchor holding one rope end in each hand.
  2. Raise both arms overhead, extending the hips slightly.
  3. Slam the ropes to the floor, driving with the trunk and dipping into a quarter squat.
  4. Reset immediately and repeat for the prescribed time.

Coaching Cues

  • "Slam with the trunk, not just the arms."
  • "Full overhead, full floor."
  • "Keep the breathing rhythmic."

Common Mistakes

  • Reducing the range as fatigue sets in.
  • Rounding the lower back on the slam.

Increase work duration or rope thickness.

Reduce range to chest height, or shorten the intervals.

Shoulder pain overhead, or acute low-back irritation.
